Social sharing Add a site map to your webpage. Search engines can’t index pages that it can’t find easily. A site map can help search engines find everything on your site. If your site is difficult to navigate, or is very large, you could even consider having multiple site maps to help search engines further. If you need search engine optimisation help for your small business website, consider working with an SEO agency or hiring an SEO freelancer. This can be a complex area, and it pays to get it right.

A great way to put people off your page is to tell them one thing with the title tag, and then not match their expectation with your main heading. Don’t keep repeating keywords through your sub-headings – use variations and natural language to describe your content. To prevent users from linking to one version of a URL and others linking to a different version (this could split the reputation of that content between the URLs), focus on using and referring to one URL in the structure and internal linking of your pages. If you do find that people are accessing the same content through multiple URLs, setting up a 301 redirect from non-preferred URLs to the dominant URL is a good solution for this. Meta description tags can influence click-throughs but aren't directly used for rankings. You don’t merely want people to see your website. Don't make the mistake like many webmasters do in targeting one main keyword for the entire website. The smart approach to SEO and positioning is to target a list of low competition, moderate demand keywords and rank well for them. This would potentially drive more targeted traffic, than to blindly hit at one main keyword. Using different tags and elements on your page will help search engines understand which parts of the content are connected to each other, and which are separate. Writing is hard enough when you have to write 500 word blog posts. Now imagine writing in-depth articles and guides that stretch to 5,000+ words on a consistent basis. What is the trustworthiness of the linking domain? Every search engine was built with a different system with unique preferences and features, making each of them beneficial in their own way. But they all have two major functions: they index content and turn over relevant results when a search is processed. SEO is very simple, and unless you’re a very large company it’s probably not worth hiring somebody else to do. SERPs will get more personalized and will take into account users’ interests, hobbies, location, search history, and certainly gender. SEO specialists will also have to take into consideration a greater amount of content-related factors such as its length, quality, TF-IDF, and its structure. Google can, and does, ignore low relevance links. The worst offenders are generic links (“click here”) and even worse, off-topic links. Creating descriptive categories and filenames for the documents on your website can not only help you keep your site better organized, but it could also lead to better crawling of your documents by search engines. Also, it can create easier, "friendlier" URLs for those that want to link to your content.
